1. Who We Are & Agreement to Terms

LuraPrep (“the Service”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an online educational platform dedicated to 11+ entrance examination preparation. The Service is owned and operated by ORBIT IT LIMITED (“the Company”), a private limited company registered in England and Wales under Company Registration Number 11671683, with its registered office at 43 Lower Station Rd, Crayford, DA1 3PY, United Kingdom. LuraPrep is a trading name of the Company.

By accessing or using our websites (including luraprep.com, app.luraprep.com, and associated subdomains) or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the platform.

2. Eligibility & Parental Responsibility

LuraPrep is designed to help children prepare for 11+ entrance examinations (typically ages 8–11) under the active guidance and supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or registered tutor.

• Parent / Guardian Accounts: All user accounts must be registered and held by an individual aged 18 or older. Minors are not permitted to register directly. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child utilising the service, and that you accept these Terms on behalf of yourself and your child.
• Tutor Accounts: If you are a professional tutor or educational organisation registering for a Tutor account, you warrant that you have obtained verifiable parental consent from the legal guardian of each student you connect to your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. About the Service & Independent Content Disclaimer

LuraPrep provides original practice questions, timed mock exams, diagnostic progress tracking, daily habit modules, and worked solutions designed to develop the cognitive and academic skills tested in UK 11+ examinations (Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning).

LuraPrep is an independent educational provider. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to GL Assessment, the Consortium of Selective Schools in Essex (CSSE), the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM), Quest Assessment, SEAX, the Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB), or any individual grammar, free, selective, or independent school. All practice questions, papers, and explanations are original materials authored independently by the Company. None are copied from past or live examination papers, and none are officially endorsed by any examination board or school foundation.

4. No Guarantee of Examination Results or School Placement

LuraPrep is a practice, diagnostic, and revision tool. While we aim to deliver rigorous, high-quality practice aligned with typical 11+ curricula and formats, we do not guarantee that using LuraPrep will result in passing any 11+ exam, attaining any specific test score, or securing an admission offer from any grammar or independent school.

Examination performance depends on numerous external factors outside our control, including individual candidate diligence, exam day conditions, competition ratios, and admission policies. Target school cutoff indicators and cohort percentiles provided on our platform are advisory estimates based on historical data and do not guarantee school qualification.

5. Subscriptions, Payments & Renewal

• Subscription Plans: We offer both Free tier access (with limited daily practice questions and select features) and paid Premium subscriptions (monthly or annual) providing unrestricted access to our full question bank, timed mocks, and advanced analytics.
• Payment Processing: All financial transactions are handled securely through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store or process raw debit or credit card numbers on our own servers.
• Continuous Auto-Renewal: Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method via Stripe until cancellation.
• Pricing Changes: We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing. Any price modifications will be communicated with at least 30 days’ advance written notice, taking effect only on subsequent renewal cycles.

6. Cancellation & 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Statutory Cooling-Off)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the legal right to cancel a paid digital subscription within 14 days of your initial purchase without giving any reason:

• 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Full Refund): If you cancel within 14 days of starting your first paid subscription, you may request a 100% full refund by emailing support@luraprep.com. Refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Stripe within 5–10 business days.
• Standard Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Parent Profile or Billing settings. Cancelling stops future renewals. You will retain full access to your paid subscription benefits until the conclusion of the current prepaid billing period. Payments made for prior cycles or outside the 14-day statutory window are non-refundable.

7. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use

All questions, SVG illustrations, worked solutions, animations, learning algorithms, audio/video assets, and platform design on LuraPrep are the exclusive intellectual property of the Company and are protected by United Kingdom and international copyright laws.

You are granted a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to access and use LuraPrep for personal revision within your immediate household (or, in the case of registered Tutors, solely with directly registered students under an active Tutor licence).

You agree not to:

• Share login credentials outside your immediate household.
• Scrape, crawl, extract, cache, or systematically download our question banks, SVG graphics, or mock examination papers.
• Republish, resell, license, or commercially redistribute our content without explicit prior written authorization.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of our platform or adaptive algorithms.
• Use automated bots or scripts to manipulate question timers, leaderboard scores, or site performance.

8. Platform Availability & Maintenance (“As Available”)

We strive to maintain maximum uptime and platform speed. However, LuraPrep is supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, infallible, or error-free service. From time to time, scheduled or emergency maintenance may require temporary suspension of access. We accept no liability for network disruptions or technical interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

If you identify an error in a question or explanation, you can flag it via the in-app question reporting tool. We review all reports in good faith and promptly deploy corrections where warranted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or educational opportunities arising out of or related to your use of LuraPrep.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms or the platform shall be strictly limited to the total amount paid by you to LuraPrep in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your non-waivable statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms, their subject matter, and their formation are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and the Company agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
